5. System Logs & Diagnostics

Monitor, Investigate, and Maintain Mission Readiness with Real-Time Error Insights

5.1 Introduction to System Logs

The System Logs & Diagnostics module in AeroGCS Enterprise offers a centralised view of all operational issues and system warnings related to your drone fleet. From GPS anomalies to telemetry sync failures, this module captures and classifies every critical message to ensure transparency and readiness.

Use this module to proactively monitor drone health, resolve mission-blocking issues, and ensure safe, compliant flight operations.

5.2 Accessing the Error Logs Dashboard

You can access the error logs :
From the top bar:

  • Click the (!) Error Log icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
  • You’ll be redirected to the full Error Logs page.

5.3 Understanding Error Log Entries

Each error entry is logged in a tabular format and provides contextual details for rapid diagnosis.

Column Description
Error Message describing the issue (e.g., GPS fix, stream failure)
Date & Time Timestamp of the event
Flight ID Unique identifier for the associated mission
UIN User Identification Number (pilot or team ID)
Type Severity classification: ERROR, CRIT, WARN

Logs are paginated, and the table supports sorting by column headers.

5.4 Using Filters and Search Tools

To efficiently locate specific issues, the Error Logs interface supports:

  1. Keyword Search

Search by:

  • Flight ID
  • UIN
  • Error keywords (e.g. “AHRS”, “PreArm”, “Fence”
Search bar with keyword input

This will show all matching records.

  1. Date Range Filter

Use the date selector to filter logs between specific timeframes.

  1. Drone-Specific Filter

Select a drone from the “Select Drone” dropdown to view only its error history. Each drone is displayed with a red badge indicating its total number of logged errors.

Use Case: Investigate recurring issues on high-error drones .

5.5 Common Error Types & Descriptions

Below are frequently encountered errors and their meanings:

Error Message Description
PreArm: GPS 1 Bad fix Inadequate GPS lock; drone cannot arm safely
PreArm: Fence requires position Fence coordinates not acquired before flight
AHRS: GPS speed error 1.3 Detected velocity mismatch from GPS sensor
PreArm: PRX1 No Data Proximity sensor failed to provide input
The video has not been recorded… Stream key missing; live feed not recorded or interrupted
PreArm: GPS speed error GPS speed reading outside safe thresholds

5.6 Best Practices for Maintenance & Operations

  • Review logs daily before and after missions.
  • Check drone-specific error patterns via the drone filter.
  • Export logs (if supported) for compliance or audit purposes.
  • Monitor PreArm and GPS warnings closely as they often block mission launches.
  • Train pilots on interpreting CRIT logs and implementing preventive actions.

💡 Keeping logs clean improves reliability, mission confidence, and safety.

 5.7 Summary & Use Cases

The System Logs & Diagnostics module empowers you to:

  • Detect anomalies before they disrupt missions
  • Track drone health over time
  • Perform root-cause analysis
  • Ensure compliance and reliability for enterprise-grade deployments

With real-time visibility and historical traceability, this tool is essential for scalable and safe drone operations.
