Introdcution

The AeroGCS Global Competition 2.0 soared to new heights in Hyderabad this year, following its successful debut in Nashik. With a bigger prize pool and a more diverse range of participants from across India, the event provided an electrifying platform for drone professionals and enthusiasts to push the boundaries of innovation. Three exceptional winners emerged this year, showcasing the growing talent and engagement in the drone technology arena compared to the two winners from the previous year.

Participants from all corners of India, including Directors, CTOs, VP, Students, Professors, RPTO Accountable Managers, Drone Pilots, Technicians, Developers, Engineers, Instructors, Business Development Executives, GIS Analysts, Software Developers, QA Testers, Freelancers, Technology Managers, PhD Scholars, and Aeromodelling Trainers, came together to tackle challenges ranging from thought-provoking MCQs to hands-on missions with AeroGCS GREEN and AeroGCS Enterprise. This diverse mix of professionals made the event a vibrant opportunity for collaboration and knowledge-sharing, showcasing the growing talent shaping the future of drone technology across the country.

Competition Overview

The competition unfolded across three stages over the span of 42 days, showcasing the prowess and dedication of drone enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds. It was a testament to the growing enthusiasm for drone technology and provided a platform to test the knowledge, skills, and innovation of participants.

Round 1 began on 14th December 2024, with an online MCQ-based exam focused on AeroGCS GREEN, designed to assess participants’ understanding of key drone technology concepts and principles. Out of 212 registered participants, 172 contestants qualified for the next stage, showcasing their proficiency and advancing to Round 2. The first round lasted for 1 hour.

Round 2 took place on 4th January 2025, featuring a problem-solving challenge with both AeroGCS Green and AeroGCS Enterprise, alongside a simulation exercise. This round tested participants’ adaptability, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills in a simulated environment. The top 30 participants excelled and moved on to Round 3. This round lasted for 2 hours.

Round 3 was held in Hyderabad, Telangana, on 25th January 2025, marking the final phase of the competition. It comprised two segments: a written challenge to demonstrate theoretical knowledge, followed by a practical round where participants calibrated and flew drones using AeroGCS GREEN. This final phase tested both technical expertise and precision under real-world conditions. Participants had 15 minutes to solve the problem statement and fly the drone.

At the conclusion of Round 3, the top performers were crowned. The AeroGCS Champion, the highest scorer, was awarded a grand cash prize of Rs. 2,50,000 Lakhs. The AeroGCS Expert, the second-place finisher, earned Rs. 1,00,000 Lakhs, and AeroGCS Professionals, ten other distinguished participants each received Rs. 50,000 Thousand. Throughout the competition, 14 product training sessions on AeroGCS Green, AeroGCS Enterprise, and AeroGCS Config were conducted over three months, providing participants with valuable insights, product demonstrations, and doubt-clearing sessions to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The competition not only celebrated innovation and technical excellence but also nurtured a dynamic community of drone enthusiasts. By uniting individuals from diverse backgrounds, it provided a platform to showcase talent, learn from industry experts, and contribute to the advancement of drone technology. This event serves as a valuable opportunity for professionals and enthusiasts to connect, collaborate, and actively contribute to shaping the future of the drone industry.
